Summary:“You could just be honest with him,” Nat suggests. Beside her, Sam nods.
Bucky levels them both with a flat look. “This past weekend I asked if he wanted to go out on a date and Steve said not to be funny because, and I quote, ‘Where would we even find dates this late?’”
This was *darling!*

Art for Sunlight on Still Waters by the so so talented @mshenkoaddiction. This is also a collab project for @shrunkyclunksbigbang.
Steve Rogers lives in a broken-down building in Brooklyn, shops at Whole Foods, and plays Captain America as necessary, adjusting to the twenty-first century as well as can be expected. He’s not looking for a sub, not actively, but when he stumbles – literally – upon his neighbor Bucky Barnes, that old spark lights up once more.
But things have changed since Steve went into the ice. Society’s gone forwards in many ways, but not all, not by a longshot. And soon enough, he’ll have to play a hero of a different kind.
