What’s up anon. Congrats you my first. Let’s see what I can come up with.
Bucky x T’Challa – Are you sick?
-Bucky is not supposed to get sick
-The serum in his body is supposed to defeat all illness.
-So when T’Challa wakes up one morning to find Bucky in the bathroom with tissue stuffed up his nose and the shower running with only the hot water on, he is rightfully concerned.
-”Are you ill James?” T’Challa asks kneeling in front of the other man. “What’s wrong?”
-Bucky’s naked completely and his chest is flushed red. T’Challa reaches up and cups his face, forcing the other man to look at him.
Bucky wanted to go into cryo because he wanted peace and rest and to feel safe. Back with HYDRA, though, he was usually wiped before cryo, especially in later decades. Because of that, he went into cryo essentially a blank slate, and never dreamed. He would come out feeling disoriented, but otherwise well rested. Now, he’s had two years of living on his own and remembering everything, and he just came out of a rather horrifying situation where he got his arm blown off AGAIN and Steve nearly died.
So instead of a nice, dreamless sleep, Bucky closes his eyes in cryo and drops right into trash nightmare land. Maybe the nightmares start out as actual memories of trash parties that really happened, but they quickly progress to something much worse…
“And what about you, Steven? How do you feel? Here?” Steve wonders if the other man can feel the way his pulse is rising. “Me too. Safe, I mean.” Like you’re going to take care of us.
